Current and Past Projects

We constantly have opportunities for young people and adults to join training courses and other projects.

Current and recent international projects include:

Virtual Youth Work (2016-2018)

Led by our Irish partner Youth Work Ireland Tipperary, this project is developing tools and methodologies for engaging young people through virtual worlds. We will publish further news as the project develops.

Centres of Excellence (2015-2017)

Working with partners in Austria, Bulgaria and Finland, we are promoting the use of outdoor education in youth work, comparing approaches and encouraging shared standards between countries.

Milestones (2015)

This partnership building project brought together staff and young people from organisations in 16 countries. For further details please visit the project website.

Youth for Freedom (2013-2015)

This pilot project engaged young people from Bulgaria and UK in raising awareness about the issue of human trafficking.

Youth Against Extremism (2013-2015)

Groups in Greece, Hungary and UK investigated the various forms of extremism that can threaten young people in different contexts, and explored possible solutions.

The Janus Project (2013)

This large-scale project run on behalf of the British Council brought together participants from 24 countries to celebrate the achievements of the EU Youth in Action programme and prepare for the start of Erasmus+.

Inclusion TV (2012-2014)

A training course on inclusion, set in the context of a live TV studio where young people were not only the subject of discussion, but also the technical team running the event, making inclusive practice a reality.
